The Habs have proved in recent years that you should never underestimate any detail. They've taken full advantage of the Flyers' weaknesses in this area, time and time again. Philadelphia is still biting its fingers at letting Cole Caufield slip through their fingers in 2019.

It's not Caufield we're talking about here, however, but two other players from the organization drafted in the 7th round. In 2017, the CH traded its 2018 7th-round pick for the Flyers' 2017 pick and drafted Cayden Primeau.

They did the same the following year, trading their 2019 7th-round pick for their 2018 former to select Brett Stapley.

They did it again in 2019, trading their 2020 7th-round pick to the same Flyers for their former 2019 7th-round pick. They then selected Rafaël Harvey-Pinard.

In other words, for three consecutive years, the Habs drafted Cayden Primeau, Brett Stapley and Rafaël Harvey-Pinard in the 7th round, when the Flyers could have gotten their hands on all three players. The Flyers' lack of vision worked in the Habs' favor, as RHP is a real steal and Cayden Primeau has been a great asset to the Laval Rocket.
