The Chicago Blackhawks are likely to be at the center of trade rumors in the coming months as the trade deadline draws closer and closer.

If there seems to be two certainties with this team, it's that the team's two stars and free agents, Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane, are very likely to change teams this season.

Having started a rebuilding process, Chicago is targeting none other than Connor Bedard in the next draft. The Hawks can't miss such an opportunity to get interesting assets for the future of their organization.

Jonathan Toews, who has been the team's captain for 15 years now, a three time Stanley Cup winner, one of the most decorated hockey players of all time. Rumours are that there are two very aggressive teams who are trying to acquire the star and both of them are NHL super powers. According to tipster David Pagnotta, the Boston Bruins and Colorado Avalanche are reportedly very interested in adding the veteran to their team.

Let's just say that adding a three-time Stanley Cup winner, who is one of the greatest captains in NHL history and one of the best defensive centers in the league, would be quite an acquisition for a team looking to win big this year.

If Boston is already on top right now, adding Toews to solidify their center line behind a certain Patrice Bergeron, would be simply frightening to watch play. The Bruins would have possibly the best defensive center duo in NHL history in the same lineup.

On the Avalanche side, unfortunately a rash of serious injuries has affected the success of this team so far. Head coach Jared Bednar has had to deal with a lineup that was decimated of almost all of its best players for most of their games this season.

Despite the injuries, Colorado still has a place in the playoff picture. When everyone comes back healthy, with the potential addition of a Toews to back up Nathan MacKinnon, it could be scary in the playoffs.

Can't wait to see where Jonathan Toews ends up this season!
