This is the time of year when there's the most staff turnover. For a man like Kent Hughes, who has to wear two GM hats with Montreal and Laval, it's impossible to keep everyone. We've just learned that Quebecer Peter Abbandonato and defenseman Tony Dello have both signed with the Chicago Wolves, the Blackhawks' training club. Can't say we blame them. There isn't much depth in Chicago, and their chances of playing a few games in the NHL are much better in the Hawks' organization. Good luck with your new team!

The Wolves have signed the following players for the 2023-24 season:

Forwards
Peter Abbandonato
Hudson Elynuik
Dominic Franco
Kyle Marino
Cole Schneider
Chris Terry
Defensemen
Tory Dello
Tyson Feist
Goaltender
Adam Scheel

✍ https://t.co/1fGd2qSnvV pic.twitter.com/kAzQVHUy6w- Chicago Wolves (@Chicago_Wolves) July 10, 2023
