If there is one thing that has been impressive about the Habs this season, it's their goaltending. Jake Allen and Samuel Montembeault have held down the fort, so much so that without them, the Tricolore would probably have had between 5 and 10 fewer wins. However, the emergence of Montembeault has completely erased Jake Allen's performance. Aside from his bad habit of giving up a goal early in the game, number 34 was very solid overall. TVA Sports conducted a poll to see who they thought would be the team's number one goalie next year. Not only did Montembeault win hands down with 60.3% of the votes, people also voted 32.8% that the starter would be a new player acquired by Kent Hughes in the coming months. For Jake Allen, only 6.9% of fans voted for him.

This is bad news for the goaltender, as fans don't seem to have much confidence in him. Let's hope he and the organization don't doubt his abilities.
