Let's face it, Jean-Charles Lajoie and Tony Marinaro make good television together. Often at odds with each other in their views of the Habs, they are very entertaining. During his segment on TVA Sports' JiC, the two hosts delivered a fierce argument regarding the status of a rather surprising player, David Savard. On the one hand, Lajoie mentioned that the Quebec defenceman is an untouchable with the Habs and that trading him is out of the question, even for a first-round draft pick this summer. Marinaro said that if the Habs get a first-round pick in 2023 for the CH's number 58 big man, he must be traded because the club is rebuilding. As the debate heated up between the two men, Marinaro simply couldn't believe that Savard, who is 32 years old, was given untouchable status by his TV set buddy. You're going a little far. I understand, you have his number and you text him from time to time. You called him an untouchable tonight, but he's not Larry Robinson! Stop it right there! Victor Hedman is an untouchable! Cale Makar, he's an untouchable! - Tony Marinaro The latter even hilariously accuses his colleague who must have been at a barbecue with the big defender over the summer. However, JiC isn't letting up, because in his eyes, David Savard is not for trade and the door is closed. So where do you stand on this clash of ideas regarding a potential David Savard trade, if the Tricolore can get a first round pick for him?
