It's amazing what Carey Price has been able to accomplish so far in his career. The Canadiens' netminder has literally held the team on his shoulders for over a decade, establishing himself as one of the best in his profession, and doing so in front of an average team at best. We learned today that another well-known Quebec goaltender will be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame on Monday. Roberto Luongo will now be an immortal of the world's greatest sport. Although Luongo has never won a Stanley Cup, he is second in games played and fourth in wins.

The Montrealer's career, though he has played for two teams, is eerily similar to Price's. Luongo has played a key role in both the Panthers' and Canucks' successes, including the Stanley Cup Final loss in 2011. In Price's case, his career has been slowed down for years by injuries and he will probably never manage to play as many games as his compatriot, but his career numbers are virtually identical to Luongo's. Furthermore, the CH number 31 holds many team records and has won every possible honour except the Stanley Cup, while Luongo has never even won a Vezina Trophy. We'll see what happens a few years after Price's retirement is announced, but one thing is certain, if Luongo can be inducted when he's never won a Stanley Cup, Carey Price certainly can too. The end of his career may well end with a big exclamation point!
