By all accounts, Juraj Slafkovsky's first season in Montreal was disappointing. Of course, the Slovak is very young and will improve, but for the CH's first first overall pick in over 40 years, expectations were high. After all, the Tricolore drafted Doug Wickenheiser first overall in 1980, and we had to wait until 2022 to see that again. Let's just say that Slaf's meagre 10 points in 39 games left us hungry for more. Training camps are now underway, and we even had a preseason game last night, live from Australia. The Coyotes and Kings were facing off in the Global Series, and one young man wowed the crowd. Logan Cooley, chosen two picks behind Slafkovsky, made a real gem during this match. When I watch this goal, I can't imagine the Habs' number 20 making a play like this, and it makes me ask the question; did the CH make the right choice? Time will tell, but for now, here's Cooley's goal. Watch it again and again!
