The Boston Bruins have long been one of the NHL's most respected franchise's, but recently, their home arena the TD Garden has come out with a strange new policy.
TD Garden's intriguing new arena policy
According to the TD Garden's official account on X, fans may no longer bring any bag bigger than 6 x 4 x 1.5 into the arena, and unsurprisingly, it hasn't been received well. UPDATE: Effective Feb. 17, new @EvolvTechnology security screening will be implemented at TD Garden. To ensure a swifter entry process, we strongly discourage guests from bringing bags. Bags larger than 6» x4» x 1.5» will not be permitted.

The new policy has gone into effect on the 17th of February, and while the account clarified that they still provide lockers for bigger bags during a game, the backlash has still been there.
Female fans outraged at this decision
While it's not only females that carry bags into an arena, given some of their needs, they are certainly the demographic most likely too, and they've not been silent about voicing their displeasure on the post. This doesn't work for anyone who experiences a period but sure lol

My wife needs an epi-pen for a severe allergy. They don't fit in a bag this small. You all need to revisit your plan here, it's short-sighted and exclusive to a lot of people.

It's unclear why the decision was made on this new policy, but plenty of fans on social media aren't happy about it, so we will wait and see whether or not the TD Garden has a response or a potential overturn of the policy.
