The legendary Marc-André Fleury was involved in a lot of trade rumors over the past few weeks.

He's about to be a free agent and the Wild aren't in a playoff spot for the moment.

Fleury surprised a lot of people when he announced he wanted to stay in Minnesota for the rest of the season.

Last week, he mentioned that he wanted to see his team push for a playoff spot.

"If we were last in the conference, maybe it'd be a little bit different. But this is my team. We've been battling together, right?I want to be here."

Now, the Wild organization confirmed their plans for him ahead of the trade deadline.

Minnesota Wild Organization Reveal They Won't Trade Marc-André Fleury

Elliotte Friedman wrote on X a few minutes ago that the Wild won't trade the goalie at the deadline.

"One important development as we head towards the trade deadline: Minnesota has indicated it will not move Marc-Andre Fleury. They are happy to keep him."

This put an end to the trade rumors involving Fleury.

As for the next chapter of his career, we will know this summer if he decides to sign another contract or retire. At 39 years old, he doesn't have much years left in the NHL, but he shows that he can still compete. We can't wait to see what he decides to do.
