Hockey is a violent sport, but in a recent event in Quebec, one ball hockey player took it to another level when he violently attacked an official. Given the popularity of hockey in North America, it's no surprise that other sports like ball hockey have improved in popularity, as it brings plenty of the challenge without the physicality, especially for players that want to continue playing after their hockey days are over. Unfortunately, some of those players bring their violent tendencies over to ball hockey, especially with a recent incident in Quebec that has been documented following the brutal injuries suffered by the official. According to reports, of which there is no video, a player attacked an official with his stick after being ejected, causing jaw injuries and a brutal fracture to the skull, with the following image acquired by Global News showing the brutal nature of the aftermath.

The incident is under investigation, so as of yet there's been little word on discipline in the aftermath by the North American Ball Hockey Players Association, but given that an officials safety should be No. 1 priority, it's safe to say that he'll likely be banned for life.
