The Arizona Coyotes were much better than expected for much of the season but their recent drop in play has them poised to be sellers at the trade deadline. Now one of their forwards is reportedly getting interest from one of his former clubs.

Colorado Avalanche Interested In Trading For Kerfoot

That team is none other than the Colorado Avalanche, the organization that gave Kerfoot his start in the NHL. The 29-year-old broke into the league with the Avs in the 2017-18 season and went on to play 157 games with the team over two seasons, scoring 34 goals and 85 points in the process. Now the team is reportedly looking for a reunion with the center.

This rumor has been bet with a mixed response from fans. Some fans of the Avalanche would not like to see him return.

Kerfoot Gets Revenge Against Former Team

The center recently played his first game in Toronto since he left the club. He has spent the majority of his career with the Maple Leafs so far, having played for the team for four seasons between 2019-20 and 2022-23. Naturally, the center scored in the game as the Coyotes visited Toronto on the 29th last month.

The Colorado Avalanche meanwhile, are dealing with depth problems as the team continues to miss Gabriel Landeskog. While Kerfoot certainly can't replace the team's captain, he would add depth to a forward core that could use it. be sure to stay tuned for updates on Kerfoot and the Avs as trade deadline day approaches.
