While most of the rumours surrounding the Edmonton Oilers have them linked to the likes of Jake Guentzel or Chris Tanev, there's certainly some smaller moves that they could be keeping an eye on.
Elliotte Friedman links Edmonton to Luke Kunin
He may not be the biggest name on the market, but with the Oilers looking for some depth in their forward group, Friedman has suggested that former first-round pick Luke Kunin could be an intriguing possibility. Friedman on 32TP: Another name I heard for the Oilers was Luke Kunin from San Jose

The 26-year old center was a first-round pick back in the 2016 NHL Draft, and while he's not gone to the level that some expected, he'd certainly be a solid depth option for the Oilers. In 51 games this season, Kunin has tallied 8 goals and 10 points, but given the struggles the team around him have had, it's safe to assume his production could take a major leap on the Oilers. Ultimately, the team will still be looking to target their top names, but if Ken Holland doesn't want to part with their 2024 first-round pick, then Kunin could be a cheap option from the division rival Sharks that would help them with depth down the stretch this season.
