Jeff Marek was unceremoniously dumped by Sportsnet earlier this off-season, but now, he has revealed his major return on social media, with further details on his return to come in the near future.

This past off-season was a wild one for the NHL, and not only for the league itself but for coverage as well, as one of Canada's top hockey networks in Sportsnet laid off many talented people to backlash from fans. One of those people that was let go was Jeff Marek, co-host of the very popular 32 Thoughts: The Podcast, with Marek announcing the move on social media.

«After 13 great years at Sportsnet, I'm moving on. It's been an incredible journey and I'm thankful to have worked alongside so many great people and played a role in bringing sports and hockey news to fans across Canada and the world. More to come soon.»

In that post, Marek reveals that he'll be back and has plans for the future, and after months of silence, he has now seemingly teased his return with a very cryptic post.

With the hockey season right around the corner, this could mean an imminent return for one of the sport's most enjoyable personalities, and while he doesn't announce any details, it's certainly brought plenty of excitement to fans on social media. Over the years, Marek became the perfect co-host with Elliotte Friedman on the podcast, so while we don't know if his return involves a podcast, TV hosting or another venture, it will be good to see him back, so watch this space.
