When Johnny Gaudreau agreed to a seven-year deal with Columbus in the early stages of free agency, it stunned the NHL. Although Calgarians were ready to see the former face of their team in various other uniforms, however nobody thought it would be the Blue Jackets. For the first time since inking his new contract, Gaudreau will visit Calgary this week, and former teammate Milan Lucic has issued a strong warning. On the Jesse and JD Podcast, when asked if he would throw a big hit on Gaudreau if the opportunity arose, Lucic answered as such: Of course, it will be like before we were teammates. You look at the team and target their best player.

He even extended his response to include Tkachuk, who also chose to leave this summer. Despite the fact that Lucic continued to highlight Gaudreau's excellent play, he simply had to provide this small caution. It will be intriguing to watch Calgary's response to Johnny Hockey's return.
