Ryan Whitney Threatens Legal Action Against The Vegas Golden Knights

Former NHLer and current Barstool personality Ryan Whitney drummed up controversy on social media today when he threatened to sue the Vegas Golden Knights.

Golden Knights Use Video Of Whitney For In-Arena Presentation

During a recent Vegas Golden Knights game against the New Jersey Devils the in arena marketing team was looking to get fans fired up. To do so they used a video of former NHLer Ryan Whitney talking about how the Golden Knights are the best team in the NHL right now.





In the video, it looks as though Whitney was laying down on a couch and the angle he was filmed at was not the most flattering. The video of course went viral causing Whitney to react. His reaction was a bit shocking considering his compliments to the team in the video itself.

Whitney Threatens Legal Action Against The Golden Knights

Once he saw the video Ryan Whitney immediately took to X to comment on what he had seen. In the post, he threatens a lawsuit against the Golden Knights for their use of the video.



This post by Whitney seems to be a joke at the fact they used a video where he compliments the team and does so while laying on the couch. No actual legal repercussions are expected from this situation. Whitney and his Spittin Chiclets co-host Paul Bissonnette love to stir things up with various NHL teams and that seems to be the case here.
