In just a handful of games, Matt Rempe has quickly become a hot topic in the NHL. However, recent concerns aren't about his play but rather his health, after a picture emerged on social media.

Worrying Pictures of New York Rangers Rookie Matt Rempe After Multiple Fights

Although Rempe's physical style has earned him a spot in the NHL, it seems like it might have caught up to him. A picture from practice revealed some shocking injuries to his face.

Call me soft all you want, but a 21-year-old kid looking like this after a total of 15 minutes of ice time should not be allowed.

His brain isn't even close to fully developed. CTE is no joke.

Although the bruises might fade if he avoids fights for a while, it's still concerning for someone so young, especially given the known effects that fighting have on the brain.

In his first five games, Rempe has already scored a goal and assisted another for the Rangers. With his size and speed, he has the potential to influence the game in so many ways. Hopefully, someone experienced in the team or coaching staff will encourage him to ease up on the fighting, now that he's established himself.
