The International Olympic Committee is under fire today after multiple athletes including Belgium's Claire Michel withdrew from their contests after swimming in the seine river. The Seine is a major European river that flows right through the heart of Paris. Unfortunately, swimming is typically not allowed in the river and has not been for a very long time due to unsafe levels of E. Coli bacteria.
