During the Toronto Maple Leafs versus the Boston Bruins game on Wednesday night, the camera caught Brad Marchand making an insane comment toward the Leaf bench as time wound down for the Bruins win. The rivalry between the Bruins and the Leafs is alive and well in the first-round series, as the two teams have been battling it out. The Bruins were able to take down the Leafs last night in game 3, giving them the edge in the series 2-1. Brad Marchand has also been making his mark on the series in his typical way, by getting under the Leafs' skin at any possible chance he can. Last night, he was continuing to do just that as time wound down for the Bruins. While skating by the bench, Marchand could be seen by the camera saying 'It's over in 5' after the Bruins scored the empty net goal. Take a look. brach Marchand «it's over in 5?» Oh this gotta be a turning point

After the game, Leaf players chimed in on how Brad Marchand is effective at drawing calls. Here is what rookie Matthew Knies had to say about it. Matthew Knies on Brad Marchand: He wants to get under our skin and influence the refs, so I think we've just got to be composed and not kind of get into that bullshit. Just play hard and make him (less) effective.

All in all, it's obvious that Marchand is doing a great job at being a distraction for the Leafs. Unfortunately, it isn't enough for the Leafs to stay out of the box, as they have struggled even on their own powerplays. If they can make an improvement there, than the Marchand stuff doesn't become as big a focal point, as it's much more likely that the Leafs walk away with a win.
