The City of Calgary has been waiting a long time for their new arena, and now we've officially seen the first look at 'Scotia Place'. Years ago, the Calgary Flames new arena project was officially cancelled, but today, they broke ground and unveiled the renderings for what will be named Scotia Place. Unlike the first project, this one appears to be full of heart, personality and personifies the Calgary Flames, especially with the top part of the building known as The Cauldron. Our first look at Scotia Place!

According to all projections, the arena is meant to open ahead of the 2027/28 NHL season, and with the Flames starting a major rebuild in the past few months, the hope will be that they can be a competitive team when the arena is officially unveiled. The Flames have unveiled renderings of Scotia Place, the team's new arena. 🔥

The new building will feature many amenities such as a community arena, full-time food halls and intimate seating that will make opposing teams feeling like they're battling a 'wall of people', according to the lead designer on the project.
