Evander Kane wasn't at the Edmonton Oilers' practice yesterday, still recovering from an injury that forced him to miss the last three games of the season.

Unfortunately, he wasn't the only one missing; Mattias Janmark was also nowhere to be found on the ice.

"Evander Kane and Mattias Janmark are not on the ice. #Oilers"

A few days ago, head coach Kirs Knoblauch revealed that even if Kane missed a few games, he would've been in the lineup if it was the playoffs:

"Evander Kane will not play tonight. Knoblauch describes it as maintenance, similar to McDavid's situation.

If it was Game 1 of the playoffs, Kane would be in. Extra time to heal to ensure he's 100%. #Oilers"

With the Oilers' first playoff game of the year set to go down on Sunday night, against the Los Angeles Kings, we should know soon enough about Kane's status.

While many teams decide to not disclose details of injuries during playoffs, we'll get to see if he plays or not sooner than later.

Kane, 32, scored 24 goals and 20 assists in 77 games this season, and will try to boune back from last year's disappointing tally of five points in 12 playoff games.

Details and updates will follow.
