The Edmonton Oilers fell in heartbreaking fashion in Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals, and now shocking footage has been revealed of the moments after. The Stanley Cup Finals in 2024 was full of incredible action, and after coming back from a 3-0 deficit, the Edmonton Oilers were full of momentum heading to Florida for Game 7. Unfortunately, the team were just out of steam by that point, with the Panthers hanging on to clinch their first Stanley Cup in franchise history. There's been plenty revealed about the heartbreak behind the scenes, with a report revealing that this sorrow was the reason why Connor McDavid didn't come out to accept his Conn Smythe Trophy. Now, footage has been released of that scene in the locker room, and it's just as heart breaking as it was on the night for Oilers fans.

Given all of the work that the Oilers put it to not only get to the Stanley Cup Finals, but to force a Game 7, it's no surprise that the team was heart broken, as this video makes for tough viewing (unless you are a fan of the Calgary Flames or Vancouver Canucks that is). With so much talent, and more being added this off-season, the Oilers are expected to be back on this stage again in 2025, and with this as motivation, there may be no team in the NHL that's ready to stop this loaded roster again.
