Oilers Darnell Nurse misses practice while Evander Kane is forced to leave early

The media were able to take in this afternoon's Edmonton Oilers practice and noticed two big absences for the majority of the session as both Darnell Nurse and Evander Kane were out.

The Edmonton Oilers have stayed relatively healthy throughout their Stanley Cup Playoff run this season. However, that luck seems to be running out as reports have indicated Darnell Nurse missed practice today and Evander Kane took the ice but then departed a few minutes later.

For Evander Kane, this is business as usual over the last couple of weeks. He has missed or been limited in practice since being injured earlier this month.

It remains unknown as to what Evander Kane's exact injury is but he has been able to play through it to this point. With him skating this morning the expectation is that he continues to play in Game 3.

For Darnell Nurse things are a bit more complex. He has struggled throughout the series with performance but has not missed any games or practice. It is unclear whether he is dealing with an injury or has just been given a mental reset day. Regardless a report from TSN has confirmed he will be in the lineup for Game 3.

Despite this massive scare from both players, it seems like the Edmonton Oilers will head into a big Game 3 with their full compliment of players. With just over 24 hours until the game things still have time to change. If there are any significant updates on the condition of either player we will pass them along to you.
