The Edmonton Oilers have recalled defencemen, Philip Broberg, from the Bakersfield Condors ahead of their final regular season game. The former eighth overall pick has accumulated 35 points in 48 games this season in the American Hockey League. Broberg has been one of Bakersfield's best defensemen this season as he is recognized in the American Hockey League as being in the top ten for points per game for a defensemen. This season, Broberg has played ten games in the National Hockey League with no points. Broberg has played 79 career NHL games grabbing eleven points over that time. Broberg is joining the team before they head to the desert on Wednesday evening to take on the Arizona Coyotes for their final ever game.

The Oilers look to face Vegas, Los Angeles, or Nashville. These game would not be Broberg's first as he has played ten previous games in the playoffs where he has not been able to find the score sheet yet.
