The New York Islanders have played a certain style of hockey for years now, but according to their GM, that may change with the departure of two veterans. After three straight years of failing to go deep in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, the New York Islanders may be ready to make some big changes, and according to GM Lou Lamoriello, they are starting soon. During a recent interview with the New York Post, the veteran GM, who wants this team to remain a contender, spoke out about two veterans who he claims the Islanders are ready to move on from. <q>«We'll probably be moving on,» Lamoriello told The Post. «That isn't saying things can't change. We're talking about two veterans, two quality individuals. Two team leaders and two real good hockey players, so we'll have to see how things come about.
