The San Jose Sharks have reportedly shown interest in trading for Philadelphia Flyers forward Cam Atkinson.

However, he has refused to waive his no-movement clause to join the rebuilding team.
For weeks, Dan Briere and the Philadelphia Flyers have been actively shopping Cam Atkinson, trying to offload his salary. Just when it seemed like a trade was imminent, Atkinson turned it down. The deal would have sent the veteran forward to the Sharks.
The Flyers are trying to trade F Cam Atkinson, and there is interest from the San Jose Sharks. However, Atkinson isn't interested in a trade to SJ. Per, Darren Dreger.

Buyout remains an option this offseason.

The Flyers continue to explore options around veteran Cam Atkinson. SJ has trade interest, but sources say Atkinson isn't keen on a move to the Sharks. Philly will eat a good chunk of the final year of his contract. Buyout is also an option, as is keeping him in the mix.

Atkinson, who has a $5 million salary for the next three years, declined the move to San Jose, according to Darren Dreger.
Cam Atkinson had 13 goals and 15 assists in 70 games last year. He has one year remaining on his contract ($5,875,000 cap hit).

His no-movement clause makes trading him even more challenging. If a trade isn't possible, a buyout might be the next step for the Flyers.
