Sidney Crosby shows displeasure with current state of the Penguins

Sidney Crosby is hockey in Pittsburgh, so it is sad to see when he is frustrated with the team. That is exactly what it looked like the other night, as Sidney Crosby was seen getting into an altercation with his coach.

Sidney Crosby has earned the right to push back against his coaching staff, that is what so many years in the NHL along with a few Stanley Cups and MVPs will earn you. However, it is sad for Penguins fans to see the impending end of an era in Pittsburgh, as Crosby nears retirement age and the Penguins look like they need a complete rebuild.

That fact was made even more potent after Crosby was seen on video getting into an altercation with the Penguins coaching staff. One fan took to social media to say that he hasn't seen Crosby this upset with coaches during his career, which is sad news for Pens fans.

It's not clear who or what Sidney Crosby is upset at. What is clear, though, is that things aren't going well in Pittsburgh. They are clearly not going to make the playoffs this year for a second year in a row after they went all in on Erik Karlsson this offseason to make one last push for Crosby. Even though Crosby isn't retiring in the immediate future, it's obvious that things are changing. Crosby has already commented on his mixed feelings about the Guentzel trade earlier this year.

It is sad, but the end of an era is coming not only in Pittsburgh but also in hockey in general, as it will be a bittersweet day when Crosby does decide to call it in Pittsburgh.
