The Seattle Kraken organization has promoted Jessica Campbell to a full-time NHL coaching position.

Hired by the Kraken as their assistant-coach, Campbell is the first woman to land a full-time job in the NHL. She spent the past two years in the AHL and worked in the NHL during pre-season games.
"BREAKING: The Seattle Kraken have hired Jessica Campbell as an assistant coach which makes her the first woman in NHL history to be behind the bench. #SeaKraken"

This historic accomplishment could lead the way to a major shift in the league. If men can work in women's hockey, the opposite is also true.
The Kraken's new assistant-coach played an important role in the Firebirds' back-to-back runs to the AHL Finals, and she'll do all she can to do the same thing in Seattle.
We wish her the best going forward in her career!
More to come.
