Craig Berube, who took over as the Maple Leafs' head coach this summer, just made his first big change to team practices and it has Leafs nation salivating for the season to start.

Under former coach Sheldon Keefe, it was tradition for the team to play music during practices, which set a more relaxed tone. But Berube isn't having any of that.

He's already put an end to the music, making it clear that practices are going to have focused and intense atmosphere moving forward. The Leafs have just started their training camp, and this change is already in effect.

With the music gone, fans are hopeful that the players will buckle down and take things a more seriously. Some extra focus might be just what the Leafs need to break their playoff curse.

Players have noticed the difference too. Ryan Reaves, said it was the most intense first day of camp in his 15-year career.

It appears Berube is bringing a new energy to Toronto. Could his tactics lead them to some postseason success?

Maybe, this change will be the key to the organization getting past the first round-or even further. They haven't been to the conference finals since 1994, or won a Stanley Cup since 1967. The buds are desperate for success and will do whatever it takes to get there, even if it means no skate dancing in practice.
