The Toronto Maple Leafs have announced several surprising changes to their roster and lineup for tonight's game against the Edmonton Oilers.

Forward Nicholas Robertson did skate briefly in the optional session on Saturday and will return to the lineup for the Toronto Maple Leafs, with Alex Steeves coming out for tonight's game against the Edmonton Oilers.

Robertson, 23, was a healthy scratch in Wednesday's win against the Washington Capitals. In 15 games this season, the forward has scored one goal, a huger under performance when compared to how well he looked in the preseason.

The Maple Leafs also announced defenseman Philippe Myers has been assigned to the AHL's Toronto Marlies on a conditioning stint.

Myers, 27, has appeared in just one NHL contest this season, going point-less against the Boston Bruins on Oct. 26. He signed a one-year, $775,000 deal with the Leafs this summer.

The Moncton, New Brunswick, native has accumulated eight goals and 28 assists in 159 games with Toronto, the Philadelphia Flyers, Nashville Predators, and Tampa Bay Lightning.

Meanwhile, Max Domi did participate in the optional skate on Saturday after being held out for maintenance on Friday. Per head coach Craig Berube, Domi will be in tonight's lineup. The 29-year-old forward has six assists through 18 games this season in his second campaign with the Leafs.

It appears Auston Matthews will once again be held out of the lineup as he continues to progress towards a full recovery from his injury.

In goal, Anthony Stolarz is projected to make the start for tonight's contest, which is a big tell tale sign that the team trusts him more to be their number one moving forward.
