The Boston Bruins and the Toronto Maple Leafs meet again for another first round series, one where the Leafs may look for revenge. Throughout the series, there will be a ton of trash talking, foul play, and tough decisions by referees, which makes this rivalry so great. Last night, NHL referees had to intervene over a questionable call.

On Saturday night, the Toronto Maple Leafs fell 5-1 to the Boston Bruins in a match where their big 4, Auston Matthews, John Tavares, Mitch Marner and Morgan Rielly were no where to be seen, the Bruins unleashed on them from start to finish. Near the end of the game, a frustrated Maple Leafs made a classless decision which caught the eyes of the referees.

According to a report from 98.5 The Sports Hub's Ty Anderson, a player on the Maple Leafs attempted to skate away with the match puck despite losing. It is a sign of disrespect as the Bruins intend to use all their game winning pucks to form a ladder board and rack up all their pucks as "wins", from 1-16 in the playoff campaign.

The Bruins win Game 1 by a 5-1 final and the Leafs are trying to skate off the ice with the game puck. Referees had to intervene.

Uncalled behaviour for the Maple Leafs which would most definitely fuel up the hot riding Boston Bruins throughout the remainder of the series.
