Sportsnet's analyst and former NHLer Nick Kypreos lashed out on Nick Robertson for injuring William Nylander in last night's Toronto Maple Leafs preseason game. On Thursday evening, the Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube had his first win with his new team, beating the rival Montreal Canadiens 2-1 at the Scotiabank Arena. Unfortunately, even if they managed to get their first pre-season win this season, the Leafs possibly lost much more during the game. Indeed, William Nylander left the ice after entering in an awkward collision with Montreal Canadiens' Christian Dvorak. However, he fell on the Habs' player because he was unnecessarily pushed by his teammate Nicholas Robertson. Watch the whole incident in the video below:

After Nylander left the game, Nick Kypreos ripped apart Robertson for what he did. Check out what he said live on Sportsnet: I'm gonna go from not great to just dumb by Nick Robertson. To me, that's just a bush move. You see Willy push through to the neutral zone. Was it just bad luck? But nothing tells me more that I'm either too slow or not willing to work hard enough to put my head down and get back in the zone. But here, I'm gonna help you. Now push up. This is just so unnecessary. Nick stopped moving his feet, so he's given up on the play. So now I'm gonna push. One of the top ones. I can't even imagine. Check it out in the video:

Obviously, Robertson didn't want to injure his teammate. It was an accident, but yes, it could've been avoided. The thing here is that if Robertson was still in the play and worked harder, he wouldn't have needed to push Nylander. We don't know yet where Robertson will end up playing next season, but he played well last night, except for the scene leading to Nylander's injury. He notably scored a spectacular goal:
