The Vegas Golden Knights have become accustomed to exploiting the NHL's LTIR rules, and now captain Mark Stone will be doing so again in 2024. When the Vegas Golden Knights placed captain Mark Stone on LTIR earlier this season, absolutely everybody knew exactly what they were doing, and now, with the Stanley Cup Playoffs right around the corner, he's been cleared for a return. Vegas announced Mark Stone is cleared to practice, will be at morning skate today in a non-contact jersey.

It's unlikely that Stone will return during the regular season, as he is skating in a non-contact jersey and isn't 100% yet, but when game one of the playoffs rolls around, it's safe to say that he'll be ready to go. After going on a dominant run to their first Stanley Cup a year ago, the Golden Knights have added several amazing pieces to this roster, and with the likes of Stone, Eichel and Marchessault still on the roster, this team shouldn't be underestimated in 2024, even as a Wild Card team.
