Tonight the New York Rangers and New Jersey Devils took their rivalry to a whole new level with a full-line brawl. The brawl started by two enforcers ended in 8 ejections.

The New York Rangers and New Jersey Devils decided tonight was the night to squash all of their beef with a huge brawl. Off the opening faceoff of the game Rangers enforcer Matt Rempe challenged Devils enforcer Kurtis MacDermid to a fight. Once those two decided to drop the gloves everyone else on the ice joined in.

As the chaos was breaking out on the ice on the benches the coaches decided they wanted a piece of the action. New York Rangers head coach Peter Laviolette and New Jersey Devils interim head coach Travis Green began shouting back and forth.

The two sides would eventually be separated. Then it was time for the penalties to be given by the referees. In the end, they decided to eject 8 players from the game and hand out a myriad of other penalties.

Despite all of the ejections, the wildness would not stop there. Just a few minutes later Rangers forward Will Cuylle would fight Devils forward Dawson Mercer.

The game is now in the second period with the New York Rangers leading 2-1 on goals from Artemi Panarin and Alexis Lafreniere. With plenty of game left one has to wonder if another fight is coming.
