The Carolina Hurricanes and New York Islanders are in the midst of their playoff series tonight. Late in the first period, things got heated between the teams as Stefan Noesen fought Islanders rookie Kyle MacLean. The fight came with about five minutes left in the 1st period. At the time, the game was still 0-0 with the Hurricanes dominating the play. Clearly, MacLean wanted to make his presence in the series felt as he is making his first career playoff run.
