The Montreal Canadiens seem to have made some very good moves in the last draft. Among the first four players selected with Juraj Slafkovsky, Filip Mesar, Owen Beck and Lane Hutson, the organization got their hands on four players who should all play in the NHL one day or another. If Slafkovsky is going to have a major impact on the team's future, everything seems to indicate that Hutson should also make his mark in a Habs uniform. The young man is amazing and it's hard to believe that he was drafted 62nd overall last July. He is 18 years old and has 35 points in only 25 games. His start to his collegiate career is so incredible that he is achieving something never before seen in NCAA history. In fact, Hutson just won the Player of the Month award for January, a rookie by the way. Plus, it's not the first recognition he's won since the beginning of the season.
