Absolute madness on the ice between the NYFD and the NYPD annual hockey game

When friendly exhibition games are played, there's usually not much physicality involved, even when it's a game between the New York Police Department and the New York Fire Department. However, this was not the case for this particular game, as it resembled the violent nature of old-school 80's hockey.

Both teams showed a significant amount of animosity towards each other, which continued throughout the entire game. It seemed like the norm for violence was still present, despite it being an exhibition game.

The two sides would show some major hate for each other and it continued throughout the entire game.

I think there was some animosity between both the Fire Department and the Police Department. It makes sense that both departments want the upper edge over each other.

For the NYFD this was also the only opportunity you can get physical with a cop and not end up in jail.
