Jakob Chychrun's story with the Arizona Coyotes is quite a tell. After requesting a trade in the fall of 2021, the defenseman became one of the biggest fish on the trade market, while he was part of many trade rumors that never came to fruition. Unfortunately for him and his organization, the 24-year-old defenseman has suffered serious injuries on more than one occasion, which has slowed down his development quite a bit in the last two campaigns, certainly not helping the Coyotes who are asking an astronomical price for their star defenseman. Through it all and despite demanding a trade nearly a year and a half ago, Chychrun has never failed to show some pride in being a Coyote, proudly displaying the #6 Arizona Coyotes on his Instagram bio. However, that is no longer the case today, as the defenseman has retired that affiliation with the Coyotes.
