Juraj Slafkovsky's rookie season wasn't great for a first overall pick, we're all aware of that. For us, it's hard to pinpoint the exact reason for his lack of consistency, but for the professionals, it's another matter altogether. Currently in the Czech Republic for summer training, Juraj is pulling out all the stops with a very specific goal in mind. As he already has the frame for the job, his work is more in the area of conditioning. Juraj Slafkovsky is currently training in Řčany, Czech Republic, with strength and conditioning coach Michal Bretenar, who specializes in changing breathing patterns and eliminating ineffective breathing stereotypes using Integrated Physiological Training (IPT). - Andrew Zadarnowski So we'd have targeted that one thing for Slaf to work on is his breathing, and true to form, the first overall pick in 2022 isn't doing things by halves. He's putting his heart and soul into training right now, and has every intention of coming back strong at the Habs' camp in September.

Juraj Slafkovsky is currently training in Řčany in the Czech Republic with strength and conditioning coach Michal Bretenar who specializes in changing the breathing rhythm and removing ineffective breathing stereotypes using integrated physiological training (IFT). pic.twitter.com/BsSjsMGOzD- Andrew Zadarnowski (@AZadarski) July 2, 2023
