It's been a busy few weeks for the Flyers. Daniel Brière is fresh into the job, and he's having to endure one setback after another. Whether it's the case of goaltender Ivan Fedotov, who signed illegally in the KHL and refused to honor his NHL contract, Matvei Michkov or Carter Hart, it's fair to say that Brière's start to his GM career has been colorful. Asked about a possible sanction on goaltender Hart, in connection with the 2018 Junior Team Canada scandal, Brière seems to be in total limbo. He may well have to turn around very abruptly. We've asked questions, but we don't know much. We're not being told much. The investigation is ongoing. I haven't got a clue. I thought something would have been done before the summer. We're just like everyone else. We're waiting to see what happens. - Daniel Brière Imagine if Hart were to be found guilty and suspended without warning, it would embarrass the Flyers GM. In any case, it hasn't been easy for Brière since he took over. Let's hope for his sake that things calm down soon enough, so that he can concentrate solely on his job as GM.
