We all agree that Rafaël Harvey-Pinard didn't steal his two-year contract with the Canadiens. Called up as a backup last year because of the numerous injuries, he seized his chance quite solidly. There's no doubt that Rafaël belongs in the NHL. Not only did he perform well in his 34 games, scoring 14 goals in the process, he also made his teammates look good. Used on just about every line, he made his teammates better, which is an excellent quality for a field hockey player. Former NHL goalie Louis Domingue was on La Poche Bleue recently, in the Taverne Hockey segment. He had some very flattering things to say about himself: Give me a break with Kirby Dach. If (Rafaël) Harvey-Pinard had been drafted 5th overall, we wouldn't be talking about Dach. Harvey-Pinard plays better than Kirby Dach. - Louis Domingue It's true that RHP plays very well, but Dach also played well last season. Still, let's not give credit where credit is due. According to Domingue, Rafaël deserves at least as much playing time as number 77. Whether you agree with this statement or not, you have to admit that it's a pretty major statement, given that Dach was drafted 3rd overall and RHP 201st.
