After the sad events following David Reinbacher's selection as 5th overall, the young defender's plan was to return home and possibly play another year in Europe. At least, that's what was being said behind the scenes, amid fears for the player's safety. That plan has now changed, thanks in no small part to the REAL fans. The people in Brossard today gave David a lot of love, and he didn't remain indifferent to it. To tell you the truth, I had chills after the spectators' reaction to my presence in the shootout! - David Reinbacher Indeed, there was a shootout at the end of today's intra-squad match, and the crowd cheered loudly for Reinbacher. Just goes to show how special fans can be in Montreal. It's heartwarming.

Thanks to the love he's been getting over the past few days, Reinbacher will be coming to Montreal early to train with the local players before training camp. This is really good news!
