The Canadiens' first-round draft pick, David Reinbacher, takes absolutely nothing for granted. The 18-year-old has a summer job that's a far cry from traditional employment. While most of the top five overall picks have successful NHL careers and average $40 million, it's clear that Reinbacher isn't in it just for the money. To be a scout at 18, you have to do it!

I kind of love that David Reinbacher (drafted 5th overall by the Habs in 2023) has a side thing as a recruiter, to which he plans to return to over the summer.

Not sure if he realizes yet that 95% of top 5 picks play 200+ games in the NHL.

Most top 5 picks have NHL careers that...- Byron Bader (@ByronMBader) July 12, 2023
