Ever since the Habs made David Reinbacher their 5th overall pick in the last draft, there's been a lot of interest in the young man. We've seen how much potential he has, and he's even been compared to some very good NHL players, like Moritz Seider and even Roman Josi. Personally, I doubt very much that Reinbacher will become a Josi, but that's how much potential he has. According to Gerry Flemming, David's coach at Kloten, the comparison is very strong with Jeff Petry. I've coached Jeff Petry... he has good range, he defends well, he moves the puck exceptionally well, his defensive abilities are solid. It's safe to say we didn't expect this. Petry was good for the Habs, but we're still hoping Reinbacher will be much better, especially in his own zone. If the Habs really did draft another Jeff Petry 5th overall, in a year when the draft was very solid, there will be plenty of people to complain about this selection.
