We have just learned that the Buffalo Sabres have signed their young star forward Dylan Cozens to a seven year contract extension. The deal will pay him $7.1 million per season. In 49 games this year, the 21-year-old forward has 43 points. After Matthew Boldy recently signed a seven-year, $7 million contract, Cozens becomes another great match for Kent Hughes, who is set to extend Cole Caufield's contract soon. Can Hughes really give his youngster more than $8M per year? It's getting harder and harder for Caufield's agent to ask for more than that, now that we have two very good comparables in the market. Remember that Cozens and Boldy are two players who were drafted in the same year as the CH number 22.
