A new addition to the list of clubs that have canceled their pride warmup jerseys has emerged. It is disappointing to see the extent of the chain reaction that was initiated by Ivan Provorov.

Fans Outraged After Minnesota Wild Cancel Pride Jerseys Last Minute

Mike Russo was the first on the case when the Wild opted out of their pride jerseys.

#mnwild    players, who were supposed to wear Pride jerseys tonight and did so last season, are not wearing them in warmups.

It comes as no surprise that fans were outraged, as canceling pride warmup jerseys is essentially the least an organization can do to support the LGBTQ+ community.

Some fans who hold more homophobic views expressed their approval of the Wild's decision:

It is disappointing to witness another team withdraw their support for Pride Day, especially when the goal of hockey should be to become more inclusive.

The Minnesota Wild have deservedly lost the support of many fans due to this decision.
