The Habs training camp will begin shortly and the official roster was announced earlier today. There will be 44 forwards, 21 defensemen and nine goaltenders on Day 1 of camp. According to TVA Sports, four of these players are in the camp thanks to a professional tryout: - Pierrick Dubé (forward) - John Parker-Jones (defenseman) - Antoine Coulombe (goalie) - Riley Mercer (goalie)

Let's recall that it was through a professional tryout that the Habs discovered Arber Xhekaj last year. The young man impressed so much that he earned an entry-level contract at the end of training camp. It could happen to others if they take the opportunity.
