Geoff Molson gave a generous interview to Radio-Canada Sports as part of a golf tournament for the Canadiens Children's Foundation. First, the CH owner was asked about Carey Price. Knowing him for 15 years now, he knows that he is a winner and that he will do everything in his power to return to the game in the coming years. Molson loves the direction the team is going and is excited to see the youngsters progress to the point where they deserve a spot with the big club. However, what caught our attention was when he was asked if he was reassured by the fan reaction to the draft despite the team's lack of success: It's amazing. Even though we finished 32nd, the fans are still there for us. I think what's been happening over the last few months is something our fans have been waiting for. That we had a renewal, a new start. I think everyone is happy and I hope it goes well. - Geoff Molson

You have to admit, the fans were ripe for it. When you look at the contending teams, a lot of them have done the same thing the Habs are doing right now. If you look specifically at the Rangers, who were built in part by Jeff Gorton, you have a lot to be happy about as Habs fans. Geoff Molson really used the right words to express the reality.
