Amongst the Canadiens prospects, two have shined with their performances in the NCAA this season. Lane Hutson and Sean Farrell have been simply dominant and that is very encouraging for the future. As for Hutson, the defender was in his first year in the NCAA and it would be very surprising to see him start his professional career in the next few months. The opposite is true for Sean Farrell. In fact, Farrell's career path could look a lot like Cole Caufield's. The forward just finished his second year in the NCAA with 47 points in 29 games. He was also named the Ivy League's Most Outstanding Player, which includes eight prestigious universities in the northern United States.

This news comes at the right time, as Farrell could well follow Caufield's lead and sign his NHL entry-level contract to finish his season in Montreal. Let's just say that the context is favorable right now with the injuries and the lack of pressure.
