Montreal Canadiens forward Jonathan Drouin said during his golf tournament at Le Mirage Golf Club that he is in great shape and ready to bounce back this season. If the words are encouraging, his non-verbal demeanour was even more so.

Smiling and light-hearted, the Montreal Canadiens' number 92 seems to have found the means to fight his mental health problems. He had to withdraw from the team's activities to take care of himself in April 2020.

Drouin, who scored 20 points, including six goals, in 34 regular season games with the Habs, missed a large part of the season. In addition to his mental health problems, the Quebecer admitted that his shot had lost a lot of strength since a wrist injury he suffered a few years ago.

During his press conference, Jonathan Drouin also shared his thoughts with the journalists present. The Radio-Canada reporter captured a very revealing moment about the person that Guy Lafleur was for Jonathan Drouin. The blonde Demon was the ambassador of the Montreal Canadiens hockey club, but above all he was a friend and a unique advisor.

When asked what was the best advice Guy Lafleur had given Jonathan Drouin during his lifetime, the Tricolore's number 92 gave a refreshing answer.

We know that players who think too much and don't have enough fun on the ice have a hard time being successful. The forward also mentioned that all aspects of his life are going well. In this day and age, it's easier to feel light on the ice.

While everyone in Quebec wants to see Jonathan Drouin succeed in Montreal, it will be interesting to see how the forward reacts in October when adversity strikes. Anyone living with mental health issues will tell you, it's fragile.
