A few weeks ago, Kent Hughes let go of two goalkeeping prospects, including Frederik Dichow. He then solved the depth problem by selecting three goalies in the draft. Having plenty of choices is all well and good, but it comes with its drawbacks. Teams have a maximum of 50 contracts, and they all have to let prospects go for free. Between now and June and August 2024, Hughes has a little less and a little more than a year to sign these seven players. According to CapFriendly, the rights of the following players will expire in 2024. June 1 Jared Davidson Cédrick Guindon Petteri Nurmi Miguel Tourigny August 15th Blake Biondi Ty Smilanic Luke Tuch - Via Costa Rontzocos There are a few interesting names on this list. The most popular is Jared Davidson, who had quite a season in the WHL, with 82 points in 60 games. It will be interesting to see which of these prospects will be selected to continue the adventure with the team.

Per CapFriendly, the following players' rights will expire in 2024

June 1st
Jared Davidson
Cedrick Guindon
Petteri Nurmi
Miguel Tourigny

August 15
Blake Biondi
Ty Smilanic
Luke Tuch#GoHabsGo- Costa Rontzocos (@Rontzeeez) July 3, 2023
